Causes of Tinnitus - 3 Main Problem Areas

Millions of people suffer from some form of tinnitus but what causes this condition? It may be difficult to pinpoint an exact cause of tinnitus but there are several things that can be a factor or contribute to this condition. The most common cause of tinnitus is ear damage. This can be due to an injury, infection or some other medical condition.

When the tiny hairs that are located in your inner ear become damaged it can cause tinnitus. These hairs will move when they come in contact with sound waves. This motion triggers the ear cells to send an electrical signal through the auditory nerve to your brain which are then perceived as sounds. When these hairs are damaged they send random electrical impulses to the brain causing tinnitus.

Health problems related to any of the following scenarios can also cause or increase your risk of having tinnitus:

Hearing loss due to aging. Changes that occur in the ear bones usually caused by otosclerosis. An excessive amount of earwax build-up. Head or neck injuries. Meniere's disease which is an inner ear disorder. Acoustic neuroma is a non-cancerous tumor that develops on the cranial nerve running from the brain to the inner ear. This condition affects balance, hearing and can cause tinnitus. Muscle Spasms TMJ, Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome

Some people believe that stress and depression causes tinnitus but many medical professionals don't agree. It is believed that the tinnitus causes a person to become stressed out and depressed, although these conditions can contribute to tinnitus and make the symptoms worse.

There are even a variety of medications that can be associated with tinnitus such as the following:

Certain Cancer Medications Certain Antibiotics Excessive Amounts of Aspirin Diuretics Quinine Medications

Pulsatile tinnitus is the type that causes the person to hear sounds that pulsate in time with your heartbeat. These sounds can be intermittent or continuous.

The following conditions can cause pulsatile tinnitus:

High blood pressure caused by hypertension, stress, caffeine and so forth. Atherosclerosis due to ageing or cholesterol build-up. Tumors formed on the head or neck. Malformation of capillaries forming between the arteries and veins. Any condition that can cause an unstable blood flow.

Chronic health conditions and being exposed to loud noises can also be a cause of tinnitus. Any type of loud noise can do damage to your ears especially if you are exposed to this noise on a regular basis. This is why it is recommended you wear ear plugs if you work around machinery or spend a lot of time listing to loud music. Short-term exposure can cause temporary problems but long-term exposure to loud noises can do permanent damage.

Taking care of your health can help reduce your risk of getting tinnitus. Avoid loud noises, eat right, exercise regularly and protect your hearing at all times. Wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle or when engaging in activities that can cause a head or neck injury. You can lower your risks of getting tinnitus by taking good care of your ears and your overall health.

Can You Really Use Articles to Build Your List?

You often hear the phrase "Customers are always right". That has to be the attitude of anyone who is in sales because the customers have to feel good before they are open to hearing about your products. Therefore, it is not only important for your products to be of good quality, the customer service that comes along with the product must be equally good or better. Allowing the customers to feel complete satisfaction means more than half the battle is already won because you already have them reaching into their pockets to pay for whatever you are about to promote to them.

Here is where I introduce to you the perfect combination of marketing and customer service --- Opt-In marketing. The way Opt-In marketing works is by creating an Opt-In list which allows you to introduce your products on a good time basis. Such marketing strategy works great because it does not cost much and require you to spend much of your time.

An Opt-In list is created when potential customers who visit your site sign up to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials like catalogs. These newsletters and promotional materials are sent via email on a regular basis. Through them, you will be able to promote your products on a regular basis so that these subscribers would eventually translate into products sales for you.

In order to achieve such results, it is crucial that the promotional materials that you send to your subscribers are presented in an interesting and eye-catching way so that it creates hype and leaves a lasting impression on your subscribers. One way to do it (and I personally highly recommend it) is through writing informative articles.

Think of the whole sales process like ordering a meal. Well written articles are like menus. They provide all sorts of useful information that you, as a consumer, would like to have knowledge of before making your decision. The next logical step would be to call the waiter and to ask for their recommendations. In this case, the waiter would be your website. More often than not, the waiters would tell you the chef's recommendation. Drawing from that analogy, subscribing to your newsletter offers your potential customers a glimpse of what you have to offer.

Well written articles can also boost traffic to your site. With technology being so advanced now, there is no longer private information. People are heavily reliant on the internet now for their information needs. Therefore, if your articles provide people with the right information, they are more likely to visit your site for their research which could translate into sales and profits eventually.

Another benefit of well-written articles is that they could increase the credibility of your website and products which would in turn boost your website's reputation. It is important that people see you as an expert in the field that they are researching on so that you will be able to gain their utmost trust. Once that bridge is built, sales would not be of a problem because people will trust what you recommend.

It is needless to say that your articles have to be related to your business and products for your articles to be able to create sales. When people go on the search engine, they are mostly looking for tips, guidelines, methods, manuals and solutions. If your articles are able to provide that to them, you are definitely paving a direct one-way path to your website.

Visitors to your website will choose to subscribe to your Opt-In list if they find that the information you provide or the products that you are promoting to be useful. This would allow them to be constantly updated and it would allow you to constantly promote to them on a regular basis. Some of your subscribers might eventually forward your promotional materials to their friends and families if those materials could be of help.

People like convenience. Even when they are looking for information, they want it fast and accurate. Thus, your articles have to do just that. They have to give people the answers they are seeking and or direct them straight to your website where they can get that information. If people find your website useful, they will naturally sign up for your Opt-In list.

In order to continuously keep your subscribers interested, you have to ensure that you keep coming up with good articles. You could either write them yourself or you could get help writing them. Investing in experienced writers is a good foresight on your part as it is an investment that will yield good returns.

This ends my brief introduction of how articles can help boost your sales. What I have written here is only the tip of an iceberg. There are many other low-cost and efficient ways to increase sales. If you are keen to find out more, feel free to visit http://www.homeeasyearnings.com. You'll be able to find out how easy it is to increase your sales overnight.

A Gift That is God Given

Children are a wonderful gift and the gift of being able to be a grandparent is even nicer.

I enjoyed the years with my children when they were growing up, although there were some hairy times during the teen years, but they were always wonderful. Having three of my own, two of whom are twins, I was always on the go, just as I am sure many of you out there were and still are. There were the days you wish would fly by fast so that you could give them that night bottle and put them to sleep and just relax on the sofa with your feet up and go into la-la land yourself. However, there were the days you wished would never end. The joys of watching them play peacefully, laughing and just enjoying each others company. Those years went fast.

After the children had grown, married and left the house it definitely was lonely. It was great for about 2 weeks, but then I thought of all that had transpired over the years. Looking over family albums and seeing how they grew up before our eyes. was a very emotional and sentimental time for us and it the house seemed so quiet and lifeless. Life didn't end there, that's for certain, as we were blessed with 2 grandsons over the years. What a gift to be blessed with grandchildren. They enjoy coming over to see grandma and grandpa, love to hear stories of when their parents were younger, and make us laugh with the tactics we see repeated from our own children's youth.

My husband and I look at each other and laugh about the years that have gone by and how they are rekindled in the lives of our own grandsons. We can't imagine what it would be like to be great-grandparents, but I am sure that is down the road for us some day. We will continue to feel the joy these grandsons give us and hopefully if we are blessed with additional grandchildren we will continue to experience the happiness and satisfaction of being grandparents. There is never an "empty nest" when you are a grandparent. Take time to give your children and grandchildren a hug........before you know it, time will pass before your eyes.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Directory of Angel Investors - How Large of One Do I Need?

Within this article we provide advice that will help you decide how larger of a directory of angel investors you need for your business. The size that is right for your firm will depend on the a number of factors and that is what we discuss within this article.

Factors Deciding the Size of The Directory of Angel Investors You Need:

Team members: How many team members do you have to reach out to these angels? If you have just 1-2 professionals who will be marketing to the angels than you may want to just obtain a directory with 500-1,000 high quality contacts instead of 3,000 or 4,000 which may not have time to reach out to anyways. Money: How much are you looking to spend? While most resources that cost less than $250 aren't worth even considering do you really want to spend $700-$1,000 for an expensive resource or does a $250-$600 resource make more sense for where you are at right now? On Hand Resources: What do you already have on hand? A partial directory? An outdated resource? This will change what you really need to purchase now. Marketing Strategy: Another thing that will change how you approach angels is your strategy. Are you going to email each contact? Call them? Send them a postcard or a folder in the mail? Multi-modality marketing is becoming most popular and some of the most successful direct marketing firms in the world swear by it. If you are having trouble getting through to some very high potential prospects you may try reaching out in many different ways at the same time to increase the chances that someone will recognize the name of your company or firm. I hope this article will help you more intelligently decide on which type and size of angel database to get that will help you firm raise the most capital.

The Advantages of Managing Project Time and Cost

Any business that effectively manages its project time and costs is a successful one. In present times when there is easy access to a number of online project time cost solutions, things are easier and convenient for a business, should it wish to improve productivity with such aids.

Here are the few reasons, why time and cost management is important and therefore makes good sense for companies to invest in quality time cost software -

1. Reduces unnecessary project-related hassles

For a project manager finishing a project on time means more time to look into other areas of the business with the purpose of increasing efficiencies. Other factors such as worries about meeting project expenses are also taken care of with such a solution. Time cost management software helps to better allocate resources, manage expectations and deliver projects on time and within budget.

2. Helps in using time effectively

Effective cost management means that overspending is curtailed which works towards increasing revenues and profits. With a good time management solution, finishing up projects within a specified time and having some spare time as well to look into other options for new projects, is no longer a luxury.

3. Better Prioritization

At times it so happens that in spite of the best intentions of maintaining a tight control on time and cost management, things could still go awry. For such times an online timesheet software helps to prioritize which projects deserve more time, money and attention.

4. A job well done

It is essential to have a sense of accomplishment on a job well done and such instances are more frequent for a project manager when costs have been managed well. With efficient cost management a company can meet targets, offer employees better prospects and benefits and keep the business going in every sense of the term.

5. Better Awareness and Planning

A superior time cost software, keeps time and costs streamlined which helps an organization to plan better and make more informed decisions about targets and goals and most importantly, timelines.

6. Better Expectations

Since the end result is better management of projects and that is standard by which to measure the success factor, a good project and time cost software becomes absolutely essential. Some of the obvious perks of managing time well are that reports are completed on time and correctly. With expectations set clearly, employees have clarity on tasks and ultimately a better understanding of the consequences of not meeting deadlines and expectations.

Facts about the Dora the Explorer Show

Since its debut in 2000, the Dora the Explorer show has captured the hearts of small children across the world. Dora and her whole eccentric cast of friends have a sort of charm that is not found in many places these days. Indeed, the Dora the Explorer show has the perfect blend of music, adventure, and education to keep kids always interested and waiting to see what happens next. The popularity of Dora comes down to a blend of several elements that draw children in.

The first thing about the Dora the Explorer show that appeals to the audience (which consists almost entirely of pre-school children and their parents) is the cast of characters. First, of course, is Dora herself. Dora is basically the essence of what every child wants in a hero. She is brave, loyal, and kind to those around her. Even being so young, she eagerly faces whatever adventures come her way, and follows her curiosity to explore the world around her. She is somewhat unique in American children's television, as she is bilingual.

Her traveling companion and best friend is a purple blue and yellow monkey by the name of Boots (named, as one might expect, for the large red boots he wears.) He is equally as adventurous as his human friend, and follows Dora on all of her trips, entertaining Dora (and the audience) with his mischievous streak.

Two of the more unique members of the cast of the Dora the Explorer show are Backpack and Map. As their names imply, they are, in fact, a living backpack and map, who help Dora on her expeditions into the unknown. Backpack is about as enthusiastic a bag as one could ever hope to meet. Within his purple body, he stores a never-ending supply of helpful items for Dora's quests, which he dispenses cheerfully, along with a chorus of the Backpack Song. He, like Dora, is bilingual.

Map is equally useful on Dora's adventures, guiding her to wherever she needs to go. He, too, has his own song, which he recites upon appearance. While both of these characters' songs will most likely prove to be annoying for adults, they are quite perfect for most little kids, which make these two crowd favorites. The last member of Dora's cast is Swiper, the thieving fox. He can usually be found creating trouble until Dora shows up to save the day.

The second secret to the success of the Dora the Explorer show is the interactive element. At various points during every episode, Dora will ask the children in the audience for help in some task. For instance, to defeat Swiper, she has the audience repeat the phrase "Swiper, no swiping!" several times. Other times, she asks the audience for help answering a question, or solving any number of other problems. While there is not ture interaction here (as whether or not anyone actually replies to her makes no difference to the cartoon) it makes children feel that they are really a part of the Dora the Explorer show, which is a large part of what keeps them coming back for more.

Federal Labor Department's Rule-Making for Restaurants - Is It All Legal?

We have labor laws in the United States because there have been businesses which have taken advantage of employees in the past. They get them into a situation where they can quit their job, and then they start screwing around with their paychecks. It happens all the time, and it happens a lot in larger corporations than you might think, as they try to finagle a way to cut their labor costs. One industry the regulators want to crack down on is the restaurant sector.

Why you ask? Well, it has to do with the IRS, and the failure of many waiters and waitresses, and those who collect tips from reporting their income, but it also has to do with restaurant owners counting those tips as part of their pay, and taking it off their minimum wage. In other words the waitresses and waiters are working for tips only at that point.

This doesn't just happen in the restaurant business, it's also happened in the car wash business and many other industries. The authorities don't like it, and yet they don't have the wherewithal to completely enforce things, and therefore they wait for complaints to start their investigations.

There was an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal on June 17, 2011 by Julie Jargon which was titled "Restaurant Groups Sue Labor Department" which stated that "in April, the Labor Department amended the regulations In the Fair Labor Standards Act to state that restaurant owners now have to explain to each employee, in detail, the exact amount of tips that will be credited towards the minimum wage." And of course there will be an $1100 fine, as well as criminal penalties if the restaurants fail to do this, the new law started in May of 2011.

There is only one problem, the National Restaurant Association says that the Labor Department did not allow a 90 day period for the restaurant industry to make comments on the new law and now the labor department refuses to withdraw any part of the new rule or allow for a comment period which is typical of all new rule-making. Obviously, the article also noted that the restaurant industry has been hit hard do to increased commodity prices, and the struggling economy.

It is unfortunate, that the Federal Labor Department did not allow the restaurants a chance to comment on this rule-making session, and yet it is easily understood why. Nevertheless, arbitrary rule making without a full public comment period is enough to have corporate labor lawyers looking for answers. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Buy an ATV

Whether you are hoping to purchase an all terrain vehicle that features Interco Super Swamper tires or you're planning to use another brand, think first about the actual type of vehicle you are selecting. There are different models of ATVs available out in the marketplace. Choose the one that best meets your needs. Below, we explain a few of the models available to you.

Different types of all terrain vehicles include:

- The utility quad - If you envision your time on an ATV as hours spent working instead of playing, the utility quad is likely the all terrain vehicle for you. As the name suggests, the utility quad is used for utility purposes - namely, for getting work done in a swift manner. Utility quads are often used to tow trailers or carry farm gear. You may find them around farms, and they are often called upon to help farmers with various chores. Utility quads feature a low first gear and tires that can easily handle a variety of different terrain conditions. These heavy vehicles often have racks built in to ensure optimum carrying capacity.

- The sports quad - This is the all terrain vehicle for the ATV enthusiast. Lighter than the utility quad and easier to maneuver, the sports quad is often used for racing. It is a favorite vehicle of weekend enthusiasts who like to ride different terrain conditions. The vehicles are quick and responsive, giving the driver great ability to control the machine. Of course, the higher your experience level, the bigger the machine you will want to purchase. There are a wide variety of sports quads out on the market today.

- Automatic or gear shift options - You will have this option no matter which type of ATV you select. To decide which one is right for you, consider how practical you are. If you are going to use the all terrain vehicle for work purposes, it just makes sense to forego the trouble of the gear shifts. However, if you want to enjoy the responsiveness of the vehicle and you are choosing to purchase one for sporting purposes, the gear shift option may be for you.

- Four wheel drive option - Florida drivers really do not often need this option, but anyone who is going to encounter snow and ice will be glad they have it. In fact, even drivers who do not encounter icy conditions often opt for the four wheel drive option, as it can make the driving experience feel more secure.

- Engine size - Unless you are opting for the sports quad, engine size probably is not that important to you. If there are many hills in your intended riding area, you may want to opt for a larger engine. Also, consider the tires on your vehicle. Interco Super Swamper tires are a wonderful choice.

Make Small Fortune In The Fishing Industry

Make Small Fortune In Fishing Industry...

....now there is a headline you don't see very often. In fact, I have never seen it.

Unless you start out with a large fortune and slowly pitter it away while in pursuit of our friends who live beneath the waves, most people don't enter the exciting world of the fishing industry to seek fame and fortune. There are rarely any recruiters from Salmon canneries knocking on your door as you bask in the glory of graduation from college, nor do you pick up a copy of Entrepeneur Magazine and find" fisherman" as a hot start-up franchise. Guys wearing lots of "bling" and chest waders rarely come sloshing into your business and hand you a business card and brochure claiming that: "for a $10,000 investment I can help you triple your income in thirty days...GUARANTEED!!"

In fact, I even googled "Make Money Fishing" and came away with 313 responses and the disheartening notion that if you choose fishing as a way of life--you are pretty much destined for a life of relaxed mediocrity. There of course are some exceptions, like tournament bass fisherman, or guys selling fishing adventures to Mars--but for the most part --if you have some startling epiphany that "I want to make my fortune in fishing"- you are barking up the wrong riffle.

Some other samples from the make money fishing offerings:

1. Russ Roy-- Offers up a slightly "tongue in cheek" article, stating that we fisherman can earn extra cash slathering stinky fish attractants and fish "sputem" on our jeans and then resell them on perhaps eBay as "designer fisher wear". Complete with fish hook holes. I only say slightly "tongue in cheek"--because they probably would sell -- especially in some posh Beverly Hills boutique on Rodeo drive.

"Oh dahling, those salmon roe encrusted Jordaches make your tush look devine!!"

Heck, throw in a "roostertail" 1/4 ounce zipper and I might buy a pair myself.

2. A New England commercial fisherman is selling his fishing operation--He is "grossing" about $80K per year and claims a "cash flow" of $53k. Asking price $105k.

The "hook" here is the benefit of leaving the rat race for the "open seas". I have to ask myself," does this mean he wants to re-enter the rat race??" Health issues force sale?? Wear funky woolen sweaters!

NO THANKS!

Oh and by the way-- it is a one man operation--so have fun running around that boat and giving orders to yourself, or you can hire someone and pretty much watch your $53k disappear.

No fortune there.

3. Make your own fishing lures-- This might give you some self satisfaction, or relieve some tension--which in itself might be a nice benefit for the rest of society- and I suppose if you can get $3.00 a lure you can actually triple your income as a current fly tier...However, I doubt you are going to make a fortune, unless you can break into a already saturated market of fishing lure producers or you live to be 116 and can sell them on eBay as "antiques".

I really couldn't find any bonafide "get rich in fishing" schemes, except for the tournament fisherman offerings, which pretty much isn't considered fishing at that point.

Not even an MLM scheme-- "You see, you buy 12 fish and send them to each of the Kingfishers in your UPLINE-- and then you move up from carp level!!" --"When you move to the top of the "pyramid anchor"and become a "Marlin" you will then receive 64,000 FISH in your mailbox!"

Are you in?

So I guess we fishermen will have to retreat to the "zen-minimalist" philosophy of : less is more, if we want to consider ourselves "wealthy" or "rich".

At least by fishing standards, we can consider ourselves rich in outdoor experiences, or having a wealth of fishing knowledge. Not to mention, that the Toyota Chinook camper is paid for!!

According to my good friend"Webster" fortune is defined as :prosperity attained partly through luck... AND who knows more about luck than a fisherman!!!

So, keep trying to sell those Rolex imatations, cheap pharmaceuticals, and"secrets" to success on ebay.

The competition is a lot less in:" the road to fishing riches" market. Which can only lead to a lot of "downtime", which can certainly be filled with..... FISHING!

Besides, I have never heard it said that: "the time spent selling cialis on the internet is not deducted from one's life"--have you?
